Jenna Ortega's Gothic Elegance at Beetlejuice Event

Jenna Ortegas Gothic Elegance at Beetlejuice Event

At a recent fan event in Mexico City for her upcoming film, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice , Jenna Ortega showcased a striking gothic aesthetic that perfectly complemented the film's quirky vibe. For the occasion, Ortega dazzled in a custom strapless leather dress by Saudi Arabian label Lurline. This unique creation featured an intricately molded skull bodice that paid homage to the film's iconic character, Bob. The design team, Sarah and Siham Albinali, collaborated with Ortega's stylist Enrique Melendez to bring this eerie vision to life. They transformed the skull motif into something resembling the film’s memorable shrunken heads, specifically Bob, whose wrinkled features were reflected in the dress’s sculptural details.

The leather corset of the dress was adorned with subtle details that echoed Bob’s distinctive appearance, including draped waves mimicking the character’s wrinkles. Leather cords were incorporated to emphasize the "sewn-up mouth" detail, adding to the overall effect. The deep teal color of the dress not only matched Bob's character but also aligned with the soft goth aesthetic that Ortega has embraced throughout her press tour.

Ortega’s look was completed with dangle earrings and teal Le Silla heels, perfectly complementing the dress. Her dark tresses were styled in a chic half-updo by hairdresser Bobby Eliot, while makeup artist Mélanie Inglessis opted for a bold red wine lip and dramatic black winged eyeliner, enhancing the gothic theme.

The event also saw Ortega joined by her co-stars, including Michael Keaton, Justin Theroux, and Monica Bellucci. The film, which is a sequel to the 1988 classic Beetlejuice , is set to be released on September 6. Ortega plays Astrid, the teenage daughter of Lydia Deetz, a role originally portrayed by Winona Ryder.

In addition to this standout appearance, Ortega has been actively engaging with the film’s promotion, showcasing her dedication to embodying the essence of her character through her fashion choices. This recent event highlights her continued commitment to integrating her roles into her public persona, offering a blend of gothic glamour and film-inspired creativity.
