The Voice UK is back for its highly anticipated 13th series, and this year, the show has a stellar line-up of judges set to shake things up. From music legends to fresh faces, the new panel promises to bring an exciting dynamic to the competition as they search for the next big vocal talent.

ITV’s head of entertainment commissioning, Katie Rawcliffe, is thrilled about the new season, stating, “The Voice UK is back and it’s louder than ever. We’re excited to welcome international music icon LeAnn Rimes and the dynamic duo of Danny and Tom, alongside the ever-present will.i.am, Sir Tom, and Emma Willis. The judging panel for this year’s series is a blend of familiar faces and new talent. Sir Tom Jones returns to his red chair, bringing with him a wealth of experience. At 84, Sir Tom remains a powerhouse in the music industry with a career spanning seven decades. Known for hits like “It’s Not Unusual” and “Delilah,” he’s mentored winners three times, most recently Antonia Edwards in 2022. Despite his age, Sir Tom’s passion for discovering unique talent remains undiminished. “I’m always listening for something that surprises me,” he notes, highlighting his search for individuality and originality in contestants.

Joining Sir Tom is will.i.am, a fixture on The Voice UK since its inception in 2012. The Black Eyed Peas frontman is not just a rapper and singer but also a technology entrepreneur. He has worked with major artists like U2 and Rihanna and remains dedicated to helping aspiring singers realize their dreams. “This year, I am looking to shed light on my artists’ dreams and give them a path,” he explains.

New to the panel this year is LeAnn Rimes, whose addition brings a fresh perspective. The American singer-songwriter, who first made waves with her country music career at just 13, has since sold over 48 million records globally. Rimes brings a keen eye for technical skill and emotional storytelling, saying, “I love when someone is a great technical singer, but mainly what I look for is someone who can tell a story and convey emotion.”

The big surprise this season is the introduction of a unique double chair: Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones of McFly fame. The pair, who have been integral to British pop music since 2003, are making their debut as joint coaches. Their addition marks the first time two individuals have shared a chair on the show. “To be making The Voice UK history as the first-ever double chair combo is going to be epic,” they declare, excited about the new challenge. Fletcher, a successful children’s author, and Jones, a seasoned producer and DJ, bring a wealth of experience and a fresh dynamic to the panel.

This season, The Voice UK will debut on Saturday, August 31, at 8 pm on ITV1, with episodes also available on ITVX. As the competition heats up, viewers can look forward to witnessing an exceptional array of talent under the guidance of this diverse and star-studded panel.

With such a vibrant mix of judges, The Voice UK is set to captivate audiences once again, promising an exciting and memorable series.
