Tulsi Gabbard Updates on Trump's Debate Prep: 'He’s Ready and Sharp'

Former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard recently shared her insights on former President Donald Trump's debate preparation, revealing that he is thoroughly prepared and "very sharp" heading into his upcoming showdown with Vice President Kamala Harris. Gabbard, who made headlines in 2019 for her fierce takedown of Harris during a Democratic primary debate, is now assisting Trump as he gears up for the highly anticipated debate scheduled for September 10, 2024.

During a recent appearance on Fox News, Gabbard expressed confidence in Trump’s readiness. She stated that Trump is well-versed in the key issues and is focused on highlighting Harris’s record. “He knows the issues inside and out,” Gabbard told Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade. “He’s very focused on reminding voters about Kamala Harris's record. He’s not just going to paint a rosy picture but will bring up concrete examples of how her policies have impacted our economy and safety both domestically and internationally.”

Gabbard's involvement in Trump’s debate prep is notable given her history with Harris. In the 2019 debate, Gabbard famously criticized Harris for her past actions as a prosecutor, pointing out the contradiction between her policies and her public persona. “Kamala Harris put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations while laughing about whether she herself had ever smoked it,” Gabbard recalled, underscoring the disparity between Harris’s actions and her rhetoric.

As Trump and Harris prepare for their debate at the National Constitutional Center in Philadelphia, Gabbard’s role has been pivotal. Her previous experience and sharp critique skills have been leveraged to enhance Trump’s debate strategy, aiming to underscore his contrasts with Harris’s record.

In addition to her commentary on the debate, Gabbard also weighed in on the speculation surrounding Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Reports suggest that Kennedy might withdraw from the 2024 presidential race and endorse Trump. Gabbard commented on this possibility, emphasizing the importance of not taking any votes for granted and the need to clearly differentiate between the candidates. “Kennedy’s supporters are concerned about the current administration’s handling of critical issues, including foreign policy and domestic corruption,” she said. “We need to make a strong case to these voters about the differences between Trump and Harris.”

Gabbard’s involvement and insights into Trump’s debate preparations highlight the strategic maneuvers both campaigns are employing as they approach the crucial debate. With her previous experience and direct critiques, Gabbard’s role could be a significant factor in shaping the upcoming debate’s dynamics.
