Sid Eudy, the towering force in professional wrestling known by fans worldwide as "Sid Vicious," has passed away at the age of 63 after a battle with cancer. His son, Gunnar Eudy, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, expressing the deep sorrow felt by his family and the wrestling community.
Sid Eudy was a larger-than-life figure in the wrestling world, standing at an imposing 6'9" and boasting a career that spanned several decades, multiple championships, and unforgettable rivalries. Eudy first made his mark in the late 1980s with Continental Championship Wrestling under the moniker "Lord Humongous." From there, he quickly rose through the ranks, capturing the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) Southeastern Heavyweight Championship and later teaming with Shane Douglas to secure the NWA Southeastern Tag Team Championship.

In 1991, Sid debuted in WWE as "Sid Justice," where he immediately became a major player in the ring. Not only did he officiate, but he also played a pivotal role in rescuing Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth from an ambush by Jake "The Snake" Roberts and The Undertaker, cementing his status as a hero in the eyes of the WWE Universe.
Sid's career was marked by iconic rivalries, including his famous battles with Shawn Michaels. After taking some time away from WWE, Sid returned as "Sycho Sid" and eventually defeated Michaels to win the WWE Championship at Survivor Series in 1996. He became a two-time WWE Champion after reclaiming the title from Bret Hart in 1997, further solidifying his legacy as one of the most formidable competitors in the history of professional wrestling.
