2024 AFL Grand Final Parade Set to Delight Fans with a New Route
The excitement is building as we head toward the 2024 AFL Grand Final, and this year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever. With a brand-new fan-friendly parade route, footy fans from across Australia and beyond will have more opportunities to get up close and personal with their AFL heroes. The AFL, in partnership with the Victorian Government, has announced that the traditional Toyota HiLux vehicles will once again be leading the way, driving through a redesigned route packed with prime viewing spots for fans.
Set for Friday, September 27th, the 2024 AFL Grand Final Parade will draw over a quarter of a million spectators, and for the first time, it will bypass public roads to create safer, more accessible spots for families and fans. Melbourne Park Oval will be one of the key areas for parade-goers, offering not only great vantage points but also pre-parade entertainment. Sherrin giveaways, food and beverages, live music, and the presence of AFL legends will kick off the festivities at 9 a.m., with the parade officially beginning at 10:30 a.m. and broadcasted exclusively on Fox Footy.
