The partnership between FC Bayern Munich Basketball and BMW, which started last July, has proven impactful. Over the past year, the initiative has raised an impressive €141,000 for SOS Children's Village. This season, DEIN MÜNCHEN will benefit from the proceeds, ensuring that children facing social and financial hardships receive access to educational and cultural programs, as well as sporting activities. Bernd Döpke, head of BMW Munich, expressed enthusiasm for this collaboration, highlighting the shared mission of improving future opportunities for the youth in Munich.
Adding a unique flair to the season opener, local designer Chelo showcased handcrafted basketballs made from leftover leather from BMW's production processes. Each ball represents different themes, including "Dunks for Tomorrow." These exclusive items were on display and will be raffled off, further raising awareness for the initiative.
