Mike Weir Reveals Six Key Picks for 2024 Presidents Cup, Including Three Canadians
MONTREAL – The stage is set for the 2024 Presidents Cup, with International Team Captain Mike Weir unveiling his six captain's picks, rounding out a dynamic 12-player lineup. This year’s event promises to be an electrifying showcase, with the action returning to The Royal Montreal Golf Club from September 24-29. Weir’s selections reflect a blend of seasoned talent and fresh faces, aiming to create a formidable challenge for the U.S. squad.
South African Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Canadian trio Corey Conners, Taylor Pendrith, and Mackenzie Hughes, South Korea’s Si Woo Kim, and Australia’s Min Woo Lee have been chosen to join the International Team. Among them, Hughes and Lee are making their Presidents Cup debuts, while Kim, Bezuidenhout, Conners, and Pendrith return with valuable experience from previous tournaments.
Bezuidenhout, who is 30 and boasts a career-best year on the PGA TOUR, is noted for his consistency and impressive finishes, including a runner-up at The American Express. Captain Weir praised his steady performance, highlighting his ability to pair well with any teammate.

Si Woo Kim, representing South Korea, brings a wealth of experience with a record of success in previous Presidents Cups. His performance this season, marked by top-10 finishes, underscores his ability to deliver under pressure, which will be crucial in match play.
Min Woo Lee of Australia, at 26, has demonstrated his potential with standout performances on the PGA TOUR this year. His driving ability and popularity among fans make him a thrilling addition to the team.
