Summer Heat Returns to Ottawa After a Brief Fall-like Chill

After a brief taste of fall, summer warmth is making a strong comeback in Ottawa. Over the weekend, temperatures dipped into the single digits, with early morning chills bringing a risk of frost to the National Capital Region. It felt like the fall season was just around the corner. However, according to Environment Canada, that cooler spell is short-lived, and we're about to experience another burst of summer-like conditions.

Starting this week, the city will see temperatures ranging from 20°C to as high as 27°C, accompanied by plenty of sunshine. Monday’s high will be around 20°C, but by Wednesday, temperatures will rise to 26°C, followed by a stretch of sunny days with highs reaching 27°C from Thursday through Saturday.

As we move through the month, much of Canada, including Ottawa, is likely to experience warmer-than-usual or near-normal temperatures, extending the summer vibe a little longer. So, for those who aren’t quite ready to say goodbye to summer, this week is a welcome surprise!
