In a significant move for European football, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu recently met with UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin in Nyon, Switzerland. This meeting, held at UEFA's headquarters, was pivotal in discussing and evaluating several key upcoming football events and collaborations between TFF and UEFA.

The meeting was attended by a notable delegation from the TFF, including Vice President and Executive Board Member Ceyhun Kazancı, General Secretary Abdullah Ayaz, Director of International Relations and National Teams BuÄŸra Cem İmamoÄŸulları, and UEFA Member Associations Director Zoran Laković. Also present were TFF’s former General Secretary and UEFA Strategic Advisor Kadir KardaÅŸ.

The main agenda of the meeting was to review the progress of preparations for several major football tournaments. This included the joint bid by Turkey and Italy to host the UEFA European Championship in 2032, and the preparations for the UEFA Europa League Final in 2026 and the UEFA Conference League Final in 2027. These events are set to be landmarks for football in Turkey and Europe, showcasing the growing influence and organizational capabilities of the Turkish Football Federation.
