BrucePac Recalls Nearly 10 Million Pounds of Meat Due to Listeria Risk
In a significant health alert, BrucePac, a meat and poultry processing company based in Woodburn, Oregon, has initiated a massive recall involving nearly 10 million pounds of its ready-to-eat products. This decision follows the alarming detection of listeria bacteria in samples taken from its facility in Durant, Oklahoma, during routine testing by officials from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The recall, which covers approximately 5,000 tons of food, includes 75 different meat and chicken products. Among the recalled items are popular items such as grilled chicken breast strips. These products were manufactured between June 19 and October 8, 2024, and have been distributed widely across the United States, reaching restaurants, food service vendors, and other establishments. The affected products bear best-by dates ranging from June 19, 2025, to October 8, 2025.

Health officials have raised alarms about the possibility that these potentially contaminated items could still be lurking in refrigerators and freezers, posing a risk to unsuspecting consumers.
