Galatasaray took control early, pushing forward to test Beşiktaş’s defense. The second half saw Beşiktaş ramping up their aggression, creating intense moments near the Galatasaray goal. In one notable instance, Beşiktaş forward Ciro Immobile received a perfectly placed long ball in the 60th minute, only to be thwarted by Galatasaray’s goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera, who made a critical intervention to keep his side in the lead. The game’s energy intensified, and fans held their breath in anticipation of what was to come.
In the 67th minute, Victor Osimhen doubled Galatasaray’s lead, sending the crowd into celebration once more. With a well-timed header off another expertly delivered cross from Sara, Osimhen’s strike put Galatasaray firmly in the driver’s seat at 2-0. Beşiktaş, however, didn’t back down and continued their efforts to break through Galatasaray’s defense. They were eventually rewarded in the closing moments of the game when Muçi found the net in the fourth minute of added time, reducing the gap to 2-1. This goal came too late to alter the final outcome, though, and Galatasaray emerged with a hard-earned victory.
The result leaves Galatasaray with a healthy lead at the top of the league and a significant morale boost as they continue their campaign. For Beşiktaş, it’s a setback, but one they will no doubt look to rebound from in upcoming matches.
