Heavy Autumn Rains Expected in Busan and Gyeongnam Regions

Specifically, during the morning hours of the 15th, areas like Busan, Ulsan, and the southern coast of Gyeongnam may experience intense rainfall ranging from 10 to 30mm per hour. As the weather system progresses, predictions indicate that Busan and Ulsan will see accumulations of 30 to 80mm, while the inland areas of Gyeongnam could receive between 20 to 60mm. It is crucial to note that some locations might receive over 100mm of rain, raising the potential for flooding.

Moreover, a preliminary heavy rain advisory has already been issued for the Busan and Ulsan areas, effective from midnight to 6 a.m. on the 15th, indicating that residents should prepare for challenging conditions. In addition to heavy rain, strong winds will also accompany the storm. Residents in Busan, Ulsan, and along the southern coast of Gyeongnam should expect wind speeds to reach up to 55 km/h.
