Shaheen Siddique Reveals Police Pressure on Friends Amid Father's Disappearance
The ongoing legal troubles surrounding actor Siddique have taken a new turn, with his son, Shaheen Siddique, sharing troubling updates. According to Shaheen, his friends are now facing intense pressure from the police, who have reportedly taken them into custody in connection with the actor’s disappearance. This follows the dismissal of Siddique’s anticipatory bail plea in a sexual assault case, after which he went into hiding. Currently, the actor is challenging this dismissal in the Supreme Court, but the situation remains tense as investigations continue.
Shaheen Siddique has expressed concern over the handling of the case, alleging that the special investigation team from Kerala Police visited his house multiple times and questioned his friends. He shared that two of his close friends, Paul and Libin, were taken away early one morning by the investigating team, and since then, their whereabouts have been uncertain. Shaheen, who is currently in New Delhi handling matters related to his father’s case, was informed about this development hours after it happened.

He claims that the police have threatened to arrest them if they fail to give any information about the actor’s whereabouts. The Kochi City Police, however, have dismissed allegations made by Shaheen's friends' families that their detainment was illegal. The police stated that the youths were taken into custody concerning the vehicle Siddique allegedly used to flee.
Families of the detained friends have now lodged formal complaints, raising concerns about the methods used by the special investigation team. The friends were reportedly detained from apartments in Kochi’s Kadavanthra and Menaka areas, with claims that the police actions are tied directly to their association with the actor.
