Trevor Sorbie, the legendary hairstylist known for revolutionizing the industry, has revealed that he has terminal bowel cancer. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, the cancer eventually spread to his liver, and doctors have since determined that further operations are not viable due to the tumor's proximity to a major blood vessel. Reflecting on his diagnosis, Trevor admitted to a moment of fear but quickly found solace in a gin and tonic before facing the reality of his situation with courage.
What’s most remarkable about Trevor's outlook is his refusal to be defeated mentally by his illness. He shared with viewers that while the cancer is in his body, it hasn’t overtaken his spirit. For him, continuing to work has been a crucial lifeline. Up until two weeks ago, he was still working two days a week at his salon. This work, he said, has always been his "medicine," helping him maintain a sense of normalcy and purpose amid the overwhelming reality of his illness.
Trevor's wife Carole praised her husband for his incredible resilience, describing him as a guiding force in their lives. Together, they focus on living each day fully, cherishing the small, simple moments they still have. As an industry pioneer, Trevor is perhaps best known for his creation of the iconic "wedge haircut" and for helping cancer patients by cutting wigs for women undergoing chemotherapy.
