Matt Gaetz's Wife, Ginger Luckey, Shares Support for Husband’s Attorney General Nomination
The recent attention surrounding Matt Gaetz, President-elect Donald Trump’s controversial nominee for Attorney General, has brought his personal life under the spotlight, particularly his relationship with his wife, Ginger Luckey. Despite the ongoing investigations into Gaetz’s past, including allegations of sexual misconduct, Ginger remains supportive of her husband’s political ambitions, including his recent nomination to lead the Department of Justice.
Matt Gaetz, a Republican Congressman from Florida, has faced scrutiny for various allegations, such as sex trafficking and misconduct during his time in office. However, he has denied all accusations, and the Justice Department’s investigation into these claims ended without charges. Despite the controversies, Gaetz enjoys strong backing from Trump’s allies, including his wife, Ginger. On November 13, Ginger posted a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter), praising her husband's nomination for Attorney General, saying, “Attorney General will look good on you my love.” This public show of support highlights her belief in her husband’s ability to take on this powerful role.

The couple’s story began in 2020 when they met at a fundraiser at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Ginger, then 26, was initially hesitant about attending due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic but ended up meeting Gaetz, and the two quickly formed a bond. Just nine months later, they were engaged, and by August 2021, they eloped on Catalina Island, tying the knot in an intimate ceremony.
Ginger Luckey, who hails from a prominent family, is the younger sister of Palmer Luckey, the billionaire founder of Oculus VR, a virtual reality company that was sold to Facebook for $2 billion. Raised in California, Ginger pursued her education at UC Santa Barbara, where she was involved in the varsity sailing team. After earning her degree, she worked as a financial analyst for companies like Apeel and KPMG, where she is currently a manager in the Enterprise Innovation, Partnerships, and Commercialization department.
While Ginger has remained relatively silent on the various scandals surrounding her husband, her sister, Roxanne Luckey, has been vocal about her distaste for Matt Gaetz. Roxanne has posted several videos on TikTok criticizing him, even calling him a “literal pedophile.” In response to these remarks, Ginger has defended her family, stating that her sister was “unwell” and had been estranged from the family. Ginger claimed that Roxanne has been in therapy and that the family hopes she can overcome her destructive behavior.
Through it all, Ginger Luckey Gaetz continues to stand by her husband, expressing confidence in his ability to handle the role of Attorney General if confirmed. As the spotlight remains on Matt Gaetz, his wife’s unwavering support is a testament to their relationship and her belief in his potential to lead the Department of Justice.
