Packers Top Dolphins 30-17, Finishing Thanksgiving with a Win
The Green Bay Packers delivered a satisfying Thanksgiving feast for their fans with a dominant 30-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins. In a game that felt settled by halftime, the Packers demonstrated their strength on both offense and defense, taking advantage of the Dolphins' struggles in cold weather.
It was a chilly night at Lambeau Field, with the temperature sitting at 27 degrees at kickoff, and the Dolphins quickly realized that cold weather was not their friend. Miami started off poorly, with a muffed punt early in the game setting up a Packers touchdown. Despite some glimmers of hope in the second half, the Dolphins couldn't recover from their early mistakes, as Green Bay comfortably held onto their lead.

By the end of the first half, the Packers were up 24-3, a lead that seemed insurmountable. Jordan Love was sharp, completing 11 of 15 passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns, including a connection to Jayden Reed, who helped put the Packers in control. Meanwhile, the Packers' defense kept the Dolphins from building any real momentum, frustrating Tua Tagovailoa and forcing them into costly mistakes.
The Dolphins managed to show some fight in the second half, with a touchdown and a successful two-point conversion cutting the deficit to 16 points. They even had a chance to make a game of it, reaching the Green Bay 1-yard line. But in a pivotal moment, they were stopped on four consecutive plays, including a sack by the Packers' defense that sealed their fate. From that point on, the Packers cruised to victory, adding a field goal and another touchdown to extend their lead.
Love finished the game with 274 passing yards and two touchdowns, while the Packers’ running game, led by Josh Jacobs, added 114 yards on the ground. The Dolphins' offense, despite a strong passing game from Tua Tagovailoa (364 yards), struggled to establish the run and ultimately couldn't overcome their mistakes, including the muffed punt and a failed fourth-down attempt late in the game.
With the win, the Packers improved to 9-3, holding steady in a competitive NFC North race, while the Dolphins, now 5-7, face an uphill battle to keep their playoff hopes alive. Despite a favorable final stretch of games, they will need more than just a few victories to make the postseason. Meanwhile, the Packers are focused on staying in the playoff hunt, with the division title still within reach.
