UNC Field Hockey Pursues Glory in 2024 NCAA Final Four
The University of North Carolina (UNC) field hockey team is making waves yet again as they step into the 2024 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Final Four. Held at the iconic Phyllis Ocker Field in Ann Arbor, Michigan, this year’s championship promises intense competition and thrilling matchups. UNC, the tournament’s top seed, faces No. 4 Saint Joseph’s in a highly anticipated semifinal clash on November 22, 2024.
UNC's dominance in collegiate field hockey is nothing short of legendary. Over the past six years, the Tar Heels have captured five national titles, including back-to-back championships in 2022 and 2023. Led by a stellar team featuring Abigail Taylor, who boasts 12 shutouts and a nation-leading goals-against average of 0.44, UNC has proved unstoppable this season with a perfect 20-0 record. They’ve already defeated Delaware (4-0) and Duke (3-0) to secure their 15th Final Four appearance in 16 years.
