The sequence of events unfolded around 9:30 p.m., when officers discovered the lifeless body of a man in his 70s at a residence in Kincora Grove. As the investigation expanded, a second victim—identified as the man's daughter, a woman in her 30s—was found dead at another home on Tuscany Ridge Heights at approximately 11:15 p.m. Both deaths are believed to be domestic in nature, with no immediate threat to the wider public.

However, the situation escalated when an emergency alert was issued shortly after midnight. Authorities describe Kaminski as 6 feet tall, with brown and grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey, red, and white T-shirt and is believed to be driving a black 2022 Nissan Pathfinder with Alberta license plate CLN 5276.
