Dawson Knox Fantasy Football Update: Week 15 Outlook
As we head into Week 15 of the NFL season, fantasy football managers may want to reassess their expectations for Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox. After enjoying a larger role in recent weeks while rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid dealt with an injury, Knox will likely return to a secondary role with Kincaid now active and expected to play against the Detroit Lions.
Over the last few games, Knox stepped up in Kincaid’s absence, playing over 80% of the offensive snaps in two of three contests. In that span, he tallied a modest seven receptions for 101 yards. While those numbers were serviceable, they didn’t quite elevate him into the top tier of fantasy tight ends. His lack of touchdowns during that period further capped his upside. This week, with quarterback Josh Allen having a fully stocked arsenal of receiving options, including Kincaid, Stefon Diggs, and Gabe Davis, Knox’s fantasy value takes a hit.

This relegates Knox to more of a complementary position, where he may be used in blocking schemes or as an occasional target.
For fantasy managers entering the playoffs, it’s hard to recommend Knox as a viable streaming option this week. While his previous involvement showcased his potential, the return of Kincaid makes him a risky play. He is best left on waiver wires in favor of tight ends with a clearer path to consistent targets and red-zone opportunities.
