The couple married in 2019, shortly before James himself was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a severe form of bone marrow cancer. Their marriage, though filled with love and resilience, was marked by continuous health struggles for both. Despite their challenges, James and Amelia welcomed their daughter in 2019 and embarked on a shared dream of building a Mediterranean-inspired mansion in Bellevue Hill. The project, valued at $20 million, became a source of distraction and hope amid their battles.
