Josh Giddey Ready for Comeback After Missing Four Games with Injury
Josh Giddey is set to make his return to the Chicago Bulls lineup after missing four games due to an ankle sprain. The 22-year-old guard is expected to suit up on Saturday night when the Bulls face off against the Milwaukee Bucks. His absence had been felt, but it seems the Bulls have dodged a major setback, as the injury initially appeared much worse.
The injury occurred on December 16th during a game against the Toronto Raptors when Giddey hurt his ankle while defending a corner shooter. He was visibly in pain and had to be assisted off the court, leading to concerns about a prolonged absence. However, Giddey remained optimistic and was hopeful of a quick return. Despite this, the Bulls took a cautious approach and decided to keep him sidelined for a few additional games, ensuring that he was fully recovered.

Before the injury, Giddey had been playing some of his best basketball of the season, contributing significantly to the Bulls’ efforts. In his previous 12 games, he averaged 12.1 points, 7.7 assists, and 6.7 rebounds, all while shooting an impressive 53.0 percent from the field. His all-around play was a major asset to the team, and perhaps even more encouraging was his newfound defensive effort, with Giddey recording 13 steals over the last seven games he played.
Now, the big question is whether he can pick up where he left off. His return comes at an important time for the Bulls, who are evaluating their roster and future, especially with Giddey approaching restricted free agency soon. A solid performance in the remainder of the season will be crucial for both Giddey’s career and the team’s plans going forward.
In addition to Giddey, the Bulls will also see the return of rookie Matas Buzelis, who missed the previous game against the Hawks, and Lonzo Ball, who has been out due to illness. With the team slowly getting back to full strength, there is optimism that Giddey’s presence will help turn things around for the Bulls, who have been struggling with injuries and lineup changes this season.
As the Bulls prepare for their game against the Bucks, they are hopeful that Giddey’s return will provide a much-needed boost. Fans and teammates alike are excited to see the talented guard back on the court, and all eyes will be on him to see if he can continue his strong performance from earlier in the season.
