The deaths of Mary Keane (née Furey) of Drumlish and Claire Sullivan of Longford Town have been met with profound sadness and heartfelt tributes.

Mary Keane, a cherished resident of Main Street, Drumlish, passed away peacefully at Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe on November 30, 2024. Surrounded by her loving family and the caring hospital staff, Mary’s final moments reflected the warmth and connection she nurtured throughout her life. Predeceased by her husband Stephen and her parents, Jim and Mary, she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories shared with her close friend Michael, cousins, relatives, and a wide circle of friends.

As per her wishes, family flowers are requested, with donations directed to ‘Inis Aoibhinn’ Cancer Care West—a testament to Mary’s generosity and concern for others.

Equally poignant is the passing of Claire Sullivan, a well-loved figure from Camlin Meadows, Longford Town, and formerly of Bornacoola, Co. Leitrim.
