Zendaya Shines in Louis Vuitton x Murakami 2025 Campaign
Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami have once again teamed up to relaunch their iconic collaboration, marking the 20th anniversary of their first partnership. This new collection, known as Louis Vuitton x Murakami 2025, revisits the vibrant and whimsical designs that made waves in the early 2000s. With over 200 pieces in the re-edition collection, the collaboration breathes new life into Murakami’s signature motifs, including the Monogram Multicolore and playful characters like Superflat Panda and Cherry Blossom. These designs are infused with modern technology, enhancing the intricate details and bright colors that made them so unforgettable.
To celebrate this monumental release, Louis Vuitton has tapped Zendaya to star in the campaign, bringing the collection's playful spirit to life. The campaign, photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, showcases the actress in stunning, nostalgic pieces from the re-edition collection. Zendaya, a long-time ambassador for the brand, was a natural choice to front this campaign, having previously teased her involvement by wearing pieces from the upcoming collection.

In the campaign, Zendaya dons a variety of statement pieces, including a printed scarf priced at $515, which she creatively transforms into a halter top. She also sports a $505 leather belt worn cinched around her waist, a style reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw, and carries the Capucines East-West Mini bag, retailing for $6,850. In another shot, Zendaya is seen in a pair of 6AM Mules—an updated version of a Murakami design from over two decades ago. These studded sandals will retail for $1,020.
The Louis Vuitton x Murakami 2025 collection also includes reimagined classics such as the Keepall, OnTheGo, Speedy, and Rolling Trunk, all featuring Murakami's playful artistic touch. This expansive drop marks just the first chapter of a larger partnership. The second chapter, which will focus on spring-inspired designs and Murakami’s iconic cherry blossom motif, is set to launch in March 2025.
This collection represents not only a reunion of two fashion giants but also a moment of nostalgia for fashion lovers who remember the original collaboration. With Zendaya at the forefront, this campaign brings a fresh, modern take on Murakami’s timeless creations, ensuring that the Louis Vuitton x Murakami collaboration continues to captivate the fashion world for years to come.
