Denis Law’s journey from a small, bespectacled teenager to one of the greatest footballers the world has ever seen is nothing short of legendary. Growing up in a council flat in Aberdeen, Law faced early challenges, including a condition that left him with squinted eyes. As a kid, he was teased for his thick glasses, earning the nickname "Cockeye." But what seemed like a disadvantage turned into a defining characteristic of his perseverance and vision. By 18, Law had already made his debut for the Scotland national team, and his performances were nothing short of extraordinary. However, his body began to fail him as injuries took their toll. In 1968, despite missing the European Cup final due to injury, Law's brilliance had already secured his place in United's history. His controversial backheel against United in the 1974 derby, which led to their relegation, marked the bittersweet end of an era.
