The event culminates in a stunning fireworks show at midnight, lasting for 18 minutes, with the final fireworks lighting up the Seattle skyline.
For those on the ground who want to hear every beat, there will be a live simulcast of the soundtrack on HITS 106.1 in Seattle. The coverage will also include behind-the-scenes action and musical performances from the Seattle-based band Sugar Bones, who will be performing live from the top of the Space Needle.
With safety at the forefront of this year’s show, organizers have ensured that the drones operate within a designated exclusion zone, keeping both the audience and the drones safe. There’s also a buffer zone in place to prevent any drones from straying off course, and the drones are equipped with geofencing technology, which ensures that if a drone comes too close to the audience, it will automatically retreat or shut down.
