On Tuesday night in Denver, the Serbian superstar notched his 19th triple-double of the season, leading the Nuggets to a resounding 144-109 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. With 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, Jokic reached the milestone before the third quarter ended, showcasing his unmatched versatility and court vision.
Despite the absence of Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid due to a knee issue, the matchup was part of the NBA’s “Rivals Week,” which had been eagerly anticipated as a showdown between two of the league’s most dominant big men. Unfortunately, Embiid’s continued absence in Denver—he hasn’t played there since 2019—left fans wanting more. The Nuggets dominated from start to finish, with six players scoring in double figures. Aaron Gordon was particularly efficient, contributing 19 points on near-perfect shooting. Tyrese Maxey stepped up admirably, recording 28 points and 10 assists, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the high-flying Nuggets. Philadelphia made a brief push early in the third quarter, narrowing the deficit to just eight points. However, Denver responded with a decisive 24-12 run, putting the game out of reach.
Denver’s offensive firepower was on full display as they tied their season-high in points and dominated the fast-break battle 39-7. The team shot an impressive 61.2% from the field and an outstanding 51.6% from three-point range, underscoring their offensive efficiency.
