Princess Beatrice Welcomes Baby Girl, Athena Elizabeth Rose
Exciting royal news! Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, have welcomed their second child together—a beautiful baby girl named Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi. The royal couple’s little one arrived on January 22 at 12:57 p.m. at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and Buckingham Palace confirmed the happy news.
The royal family, including King Charles III and Queen Camilla, are said to be absolutely delighted. This is a joyful moment for Beatrice, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, who is already a proud mom to Sienna, born in 2021. Edoardo, CEO of Banda Property, also has a son, Wolfie, from a previous relationship, making this a wonderful addition to their blended family.

Edoardo took to Instagram to share the news, posting a heartfelt message about their "tiny and absolutely perfect" daughter. He expressed gratitude to the hospital staff and shared that their hearts are "overflowing with love" for baby Athena. He also mentioned how Sienna and Wolfie are already besotted with their new little sister.
Athena’s name carries a beautiful significance—her middle name, Elizabeth, is likely a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Weighing just 4 pounds and 5 ounces at birth, she is already making history as the 11th in line to the British throne and the late Queen’s 12th great-grandchild.
Though Beatrice and Edoardo are not full-time working royals, they remain beloved members of the family. Their statement included heartfelt thanks to the medical team for their exceptional care during this special time.
It’s truly a joyous occasion for the royal family, and we can’t wait to see more of baby Athena as she grows. Congratulations to Princess Beatrice and Edoardo on their newest addition!
