WWE Star Asuka Warns Fans Amidst Safety Concerns
WWE superstar Asuka has recently spoken out about her growing fears regarding fan interactions, revealing that she has felt “in danger” and has even sought help from law enforcement. The former four-time WWE Women’s Champion took to social media, expressing frustration over some fans’ relentless pursuit of personal and romantic connections with her.
In a series of posts on her official X (formerly Twitter) account, Asuka made it clear that she is uncomfortable with these advances and wants fans to respect her boundaries. “I’ve been feeling in danger recently,” she shared. “I’ve already consulted the police. At this rate, even if fans approach me at the airport or in the city, I will feel the possibility that something might happen, and it will scare me, making me unable to respond.”

This kind of behavior isn’t new in the wrestling world. Many WWE stars have encountered overzealous fans, especially at airports and hotels, where they are often approached for autographs—some of which end up being resold for profit. But for Asuka, it seems to have gone beyond that. The Japanese wrestling icon, who is known for being very private about her personal life, made it clear that any form of romantic pursuit from fans is unwelcome. “Please don’t have romantic feelings for me,” she wrote. “It’s meaningless—100% pointless.”
Her concerns are valid. The wrestling community still remembers the terrifying incident involving fellow WWE star Sonya Deville in 2020, when an obsessed fan broke into her home with the intent to kidnap her. That case ended with the perpetrator receiving a 15-year prison sentence, but it served as a chilling reminder of how far some fans might go.
Asuka, who has been off WWE television since May 2024 due to a knee injury, is currently a part of the Damage CTRL faction. While there have been reports that WWE is working on creative plans for her return, the focus right now seems to be on her personal safety and well-being.
This situation highlights an important conversation about boundaries and respect in the world of professional wrestling. While fans admire and support their favorite stars, there’s a fine line between appreciation and intrusion. Asuka’s message serves as a strong reminder that wrestlers, like any other public figures, deserve to feel safe in their daily lives.
