If you’re familiar with Julia Quinn’s books, you know that Season 4 is based on An Offer from a Gentleman , which is basically Cinderella , but make it Bridgerton . Sophie is a young woman trapped in a cruel home with her stepmother, but one magical night at the Bridgertons’ masquerade ball changes everything. She meets Benedict, they share a passionate dance, and just like in the fairy tale, she disappears before he can learn who she is. Benedict, of course, is determined to find his mystery woman, and the love story unfolds from there.
Netflix’s official logline for the season confirms that Benedict is not in a rush to settle down—until he meets “a captivating Lady in Silver” at his mother’s masquerade ball. And from the glimpses we’ve seen, the romance is going to be breathtaking. The first-look photos show Benedict and Sophie dancing, sharing longing glances, and setting the stage for what promises to be another unforgettable season.
Along with Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha, the cast is getting some exciting new additions. Harry Potter and Arcane star Katie Leung joins the show, along with Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei.
