Former Arsenal Striker Lucas Perez Joins PSV in Surprise Move

But here’s the catch— he won’t be able to play against Arsenal in the Champions League . UEFA’s registration deadline for the tournament passed on February 6 , so despite signing with PSV, he won’t be available for selection against his former club. That means Arsenal fans won’t get a chance to see him in action when the two teams clash in the last-16 tie on March 4 and March 12 .
So what does this move mean for PSV? Well, they’ve just pulled off an incredible result against Juventus , winning 4-3 on aggregate in the knockout playoffs. Bringing in an experienced forward like Perez adds depth to their squad as they push for domestic and European success.
