Marvel Rivals Patch Leaks: Major Nerfs, Buffs, and Game-Changing Updates!
Alright, Marvel Rivals fans, buckle up because the latest patch notes have been leaked, and we’ve got some major changes coming! If you’ve been following the competitive scene, you know the balance adjustments can shake things up in a big way. And thanks to reliable leakers like XOXLeak, we now have a sneak peek at what’s coming ahead of the official update dropping on February 21.
Let’s start with the nerfs because, let’s be honest, nobody likes seeing their favorite character get hit with a downgrade. Storm is taking a bit of a hit with her Wind Blade’s damage being reduced from 70% to 60% at long range, plus her self-boost is getting weakened. Luna Snow’s Ultimate cost is increasing from 4000 to 4500, making it harder to spam. And Spider-Man? His web-shooters are going to recharge faster, but that might not be enough to balance out the other tweaks. Oh, and Doctor Strange is losing some of his base HP, dropping from 650 to 600. That’s gonna hurt in those tight matchups.

But it’s not all bad news! Some heroes are getting some well-deserved buffs. Black Widow, for instance, is getting a huge ammo capacity boost, going from 8 to 15 rounds, making her a much bigger threat. Adam Warlock is also benefiting, with his primary fire damage getting a slight increase, and his healing ability, Soul Bond, improving from 10 HP per second to 15 HP per second. Venom’s Ultimate cost is dropping, and Captain America’s projectile speed is getting a boost, making him a more viable pick in higher-level play.
Then there’s the mix of buffs and nerfs for certain characters. Magneto’s primary attack is getting a slight damage boost, but his energy cost for Curtain is going up, and its maximum duration is getting reduced. Iron Fist is seeing some base HP increases, but his attack damage is taking a hit across multiple moves. Loki’s Ultimate cost is increasing, but his ammo count is going up.
Of course, the real excitement for this patch isn’t just about the balance changes—it’s also the arrival of Human Torch and The Thing! These two Fantastic Four powerhouses are making their debut, and from what we’ve seen so far, they’re going to be absolute game-changers. The Thing looks like a true tank with some incredible clobbering abilities, while Human Torch is bringing high-speed, fire-based attacks that are sure to make him a favorite among aggressive players.
As always, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt since the final patch might have slight adjustments. But if these changes hold, the meta is about to shift in a big way. What do you think about these balance updates? Are you excited for the new characters? Let’s hear your thoughts!
