New York-Style Bodega Coming to Atlanta with MoMo Bros
Exciting news for Atlanta food lovers—MoMo Bros Bodega is bringing the flavors of a classic New York bodega to the city! If you're a fan of quick, delicious, and flavorful meals, get ready because this new spot is set to become a go-to destination, especially for students in the area.
MoMo Bros started as a food truck, serving up New York-style eats with bold flavors and a sense of community. Now, they’re taking things to the next level with their first brick-and-mortar location at 806 M.L.K. Jr Drive SW , right next to the iconic Busy Bee Café. This means Morehouse, Spelman, and Clark Atlanta students will have easy access to tasty, convenient food options without needing a car to go off-campus.
So, what’s on the menu? Expect classic bodega-style eats, but with MoMo Bros’ gourmet twist. They’ll be serving up fresh salads, hot and cold sandwiches, and fan-favorite dishes like oxtail mac and cheese, jerk chicken mac and cheese, and loaded fries. And if you’re vegan, no worries—there will be options for you too! The goal is simple: fast, fresh, and flavorful food that fits a busy student’s lifestyle.

Co-founder Ethan Drakes understands this firsthand. Before launching MoMo Bros, he was a Morehouse College student who sold cold-cut sandwiches out of his dorm to help his fellow students get a late-night bite. Now, with his brother by his side, he’s taking that same energy and turning it into something even bigger. Drakes credits his mother, who owns Brooklyn Beso in New York, for inspiring his passion for food and business.
Beyond just being a restaurant, MoMo Bros Bodega is about community. Drakes believes food is essential—it brings people together and creates opportunities. That’s why he made sure the location would be easily walkable for students who may not have transportation.
