Urgent Donut Recall – Over 2 Million Cases Pulled from Shelves
Hey everyone, this is something you definitely need to hear—especially if you love donuts or pastries. A massive nationwide recall has been issued for more than 2 million cases of grocery-sold donuts and pastries due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. That’s right, 60 different donut products from FGF Brands, including some Dunkin’ favorites like Munchkins, apple fritters, French crullers, paczki pastries, cake rings, and cinnamon sticks, are affected.

This recall was officially classified as a Class II recall by the FDA on February 7, 2025, but it actually started back on January 7. The products in question were distributed across the United States and Canada , and they were all produced on or before December 13, 2024 .
Now, why is this such a big deal? Listeria monocytogenes is a serious bacterial infection that can be extremely dangerous for certain groups of people. While most healthy individuals might experience mild food poisoning symptoms like fever, muscle aches, and vomiting, it can be life-threatening for others. Young children, elderly individuals, pregnant women, and those with weakened immune systems are at the highest risk. For pregnant individuals, a listeria infection can even lead to pregnancy loss or severe infections in newborns .
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns that listeria is the third leading cause of death from foodborne illness in the U.S. , responsible for about 1,600 infections and 260 deaths each year . That’s not something to take lightly.
If you’ve purchased any kind of grocery-sold donuts or pastries recently , it’s crucial to check the list of recalled products. If you have any of the affected items, the best thing to do is throw them away immediately or return them to the store for a refund. Do not consume them , even if they look or smell fine.
