Another Cat Food Recall Due to Bird Flu Risk
Hey everyone, I’ve got some important news for all cat owners out there. Another pet food brand has just announced a recall due to concerns over bird flu contamination. This is something you’ll want to pay close attention to if you have a feline friend at home.
So, here’s the deal—earlier this month, a company called Wild Coast LLC had to recall some of their raw cat food due to a possible link to bird flu in pets. And now, just a few days later, another brand is following suit. Savage Pet has issued a recall for two of its cat food products as a precautionary measure after discovering a potential risk of H5N1 contamination, also known as bird flu.
Now, if you have any of these products at home, you need to act fast. The recalled items include:

If you have these products, stop using them immediately. Either throw them away safely or return them to the store for a refund.
The FDA has also issued a warning for cat owners to be on the lookout for symptoms of bird flu in their pets. Some signs include fever, lethargy, loss of appetite, inflamed eyes, nasal or eye discharge, breathing issues, tremors, stiff movements, seizures, or even blindness. If your cat is showing any of these symptoms, don’t wait—contact your veterinarian as soon as possible.
So far, no human cases of bird flu have been linked to handling pet food, but health officials are still urging people to take precautions. It’s always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to our pets and our health.
If you know any fellow cat owners, be sure to spread the word about this recall. Stay safe, and let’s keep our furry companions healthy!
