Boston Celtics Face Injury Concerns Ahead of Nets Matchup
The Boston Celtics are dealing with some significant injury concerns as they prepare to face the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night at TD Garden. One of the biggest headlines is that Jaylen Brown has been ruled out, while Jayson Tatum’s status remains uncertain as he deals with right knee tendinopathy.
Brown has been struggling with a right knee impingement, an issue that previously kept him sidelined. He also left Saturday’s game against the Nets early due to back spasms. Before exiting, he managed to put up eight points, six rebounds, and three assists in 24 minutes, shooting 3-for-8 from the field and 1-for-3 from beyond the arc. With only one game scheduled over the next five days before embarking on a six-game road trip, Brown will have a good opportunity to rest and recover.

Tatum’s situation is a bit more complicated. Speaking in Miami last week, Tatum acknowledged that while he understands the importance of being fully prepared for a deep postseason run, he also values playing as much as possible, especially for fans who come out to see him in arenas across the league.
Meanwhile, there’s some positive news on the injury front for the Celtics. Both Derrick White (hip) and Al Horford (toe) are expected to return to action after missing Saturday’s contest. Kristaps Porzingis, who recently returned from an illness, is also fully available, providing Boston with much-needed depth as they aim to secure their 50th win of the season.
With the playoffs just around the corner, the Celtics are being cautious with their key players, prioritizing health over short-term results. As they take on Brooklyn, all eyes will be on Tatum’s final status and how the team performs without Brown in the lineup.
