Chief Justice John Roberts has once again stepped into the political fray, pushing back against calls from former President Donald Trump and his allies to impeach judges who rule against his administration. Boasberg had recently blocked the deportation of Venezuelan migrants, prompting Trump to take to social media and denounce the judge as part of what he calls "Crooked Judges.” Trump's allies have similarly targeted judges who have ruled against his administration’s aggressive policies, particularly in the early months of his second term.
