Kirstie Allsopp Slams Euston Station's 'Disgusting' State in Public Warning to Sadiq Khan
Kirstie Allsopp has never been one to hold back, and this time, she’s taking on the state of Euston Station’s taxi rank. The Love It or List It presenter recently took to social media to voice her outrage over the “appalling” conditions at the West Garden taxi rank, calling it a “pigsty” and demanding action from London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
While visiting the station, the 53-year-old was shocked by the amount of litter scattered around and the overall state of neglect. Frustrated by what she saw, she turned to X (formerly Twitter) to call out the responsible authorities, including Network Rail Euston, Camden Council, and the Mayor of London himself. In her fiery post, she didn’t mince words: “OMG the West Garden taxi rank at Euston Station is a pigsty, litter everywhere, weeks old. No one looking after the plants, really really shocking & properly disgusting, who has let it get like that?”

Allsopp’s outrage didn’t stop there. She later took to Instagram to double down on her stance, revealing that if the mess wasn’t cleaned up by Saturday, she would personally take matters into her own hands. “I tweeted about it, and if it’s not sorted out by Saturday, I will be personally going with my sons and anybody else I can gather to clean it up myself.” Now that’s dedication!
She also made it clear that her warning was directed at multiple authorities, firmly stating: “So, Camden Council, Euston Station, Mayor of London, you will be warned.” During an Instagram live, she even roped in her Love It or List It co-star, Phil Spencer, who made an unexpected confession—he had once been fined for littering! Spencer, clearly embarrassed, admitted his mistake, reinforcing the importance of keeping public spaces clean.
Following her vocal criticism, Kirstie’s followers encouraged her to post photographic evidence of the mess, and not long after, she received news that cleaning crews had already begun addressing the issue. Grateful for the response, she replied, “Thank you so much.”
It’s not the first time Allsopp has used her platform to advocate for a cleaner Britain. As a proud ambassador for Keep Britain Tidy, she has long championed cleanliness and environmental responsibility. This latest stand is just another example of her commitment to maintaining high standards in public spaces.
Whether or not her direct approach leads to long-term improvements at Euston Station remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure—Kirstie Allsopp isn’t afraid to speak up when something isn’t right. And if the authorities don’t take action fast enough, don’t be surprised if you see her and a team of volunteers doing the job themselves!
