Kyle Kuzma's 22-Point Effort Highlights Bucks' Offensive Struggles
Kyle Kuzma put on an impressive scoring display in the Milwaukee Bucks' latest game against the Golden State Warriors, finishing with 22 points on 7-of-16 shooting. Despite his solid individual effort, the Bucks fell short, losing 104-93 on a night when their offense just couldn’t find a rhythm.
Kuzma has had an up-and-down start with the Bucks, but this performance stood out as his best scoring game in Milwaukee so far. He shot 5-of-13 from beyond the arc, knocking down some key shots in the second half to help his team claw back into the contest. However, the overall offensive struggles of the Bucks' stars proved too much to overcome.

Defenses around the league have started to adjust to Milwaukee’s firepower by daring Kuzma to shoot, opting to focus more on slowing down the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. Early on, it seemed like this strategy was working in Golden State’s favor. Kuzma struggled in the first half, hitting just 2-of-6 from deep despite getting wide-open looks. But something clicked in the second half, and he came out firing, scoring 11 points in the third quarter alone. He converted three of his five wide-open three-point attempts during that stretch, providing a much-needed boost to the Bucks’ offense.
Unfortunately, Milwaukee’s biggest names couldn’t find their rhythm. Giannis finished with 20 points but shot an uncharacteristic 5-of-16 from the field, while Lillard had an even rougher night, managing only 16 points on 18 shot attempts. With both stars struggling, Kuzma’s contributions weren’t enough to carry the Bucks to victory, especially against a Warriors squad that was missing Stephen Curry due to rest.
Looking ahead, Kuzma’s shooting could play a crucial role in Milwaukee’s success. If he continues to hit open shots, he can force defenses to rethink their strategy, opening up space for Giannis and Lillard to operate. When Kuzma’s shot is falling, the Bucks can be a dangerous offensive team, as evidenced by their dominant third-quarter performance against Golden State. But if he struggles, the team’s offensive woes could continue, making them vulnerable against top-tier competition.
As the season progresses, Kuzma will need to build on this performance and become a consistent scoring threat. The Bucks’ championship aspirations may depend on it.
