PSG Dominate Rennes with a Convincing 4-1 Victory
Paris Saint-Germain bounced back in style from their midweek Champions League disappointment, securing a dominant 4-1 victory over Rennes at Roazhon Park. Luis Enrique’s side, determined to reassert their domestic dominance, showcased their attacking prowess and maintained their stronghold at the top of Ligue 1.
The match kicked off with PSG asserting control early on. Bradley Barcola opened the scoring in the 27th minute, setting the tone for what would be an impressive display from the reigning champions. Just before halftime, Lucas Hernandez and Barcola combined to double the lead, with Hernandez providing a crucial assist to send PSG into the break with a comfortable 2-0 advantage.

Rennes attempted to fight back, and they found a glimmer of hope when Jeanuel Belocian’s effort was deflected into the net, making it 2-1 in the 53rd minute. However, PSG responded almost immediately. Gonçalo Ramos capitalized on a defensive lapse and restored the two-goal cushion in the 58th minute. From that point on, it was all PSG, as their relentless attack kept Rennes under pressure.
As the match entered stoppage time, Ousmane Dembélé put the final nail in the coffin, scoring twice in quick succession in the 91st and 94th minutes. His pace and precision proved too much for Rennes, sealing a comprehensive win for the visitors.
This victory extends PSG’s unbeaten run in Ligue 1 and further cements their dominance in French football. With a 13-point lead at the top of the table, Luis Enrique’s side remains well on course to secure yet another league title. Now, all eyes will be on their crucial Champions League second-leg clash against Liverpool, where they will need a similar display of resilience and attacking firepower.
