Now to Race 4, the Neville Sellwood Stakes (2000m) at 2:15 PM. Ceolwulf is the class act here, though he carries 59.5kg. He has never won at this distance but has placed in some strong races. A wet track will test him, but he’s got the quality. Zarakem and Bois D’ Argent are the main threats. Expect Ceolwulf to be in the finish.
Race 5, the Emancipation Stakes (1500m) at 2:50 PM, sees Scarlet Oak looking for a wet track to show her best. She had no luck in the Coolmore Classic but finds a winnable race here. Harlem Queen, with blinkers on for the first time, is a danger. Play it: Scarlet Oak each way.
