Urgent Tornado Warnings Issued Across Indiana and Cincinnati Region
Hey everyone, if you're in Indiana, Cincinnati, or Northern Kentucky, listen up! We're dealing with a serious weather situation right now. Multiple tornado warnings and severe storm alerts have been issued across the region, and it's crucial to stay informed and take action immediately.
Just a short while ago, the National Weather Service confirmed several severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes moving rapidly across Warren County, Butler County, and parts of Hamilton County. At around 9:10 p.m., a storm near Waynesville was detected moving east at 55 mph, bringing not only a tornado threat but also quarter-sized hail. Another dangerous storm was spotted over Mason at 8:56 p.m., moving at 50 mph, prompting officials to urge residents in Mason, Lebanon, and South Lebanon to seek shelter immediately.
If you're in these areas, the time to act is now. Officials are reporting multiple small but strengthening circulations, which means tornadoes can form quickly. The best thing you can do is get to a basement or an interior room away from windows. If you're outside, in a car, or in a mobile home, find the nearest sturdy building and take cover immediately.

Earlier in the evening, a series of tornado warnings were issued for parts of Butler and Warren counties, stretching all the way to Middletown and Lebanon. Radar indicated strong rotation in these areas, with the potential for destructive winds up to 60 mph. The storm near Seven Mile, moving east at 45 mph, was one of the many capable of producing a tornado.
Northern Kentucky hasn't been spared either. Just before 8:30 p.m., a severe storm was tracked near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, bringing dangerous winds and heavy rain. In places like Florence, Union, and Aurora, the situation remains tense as the storm continues its path.
If you're in Franklin, Ripley, or Dearborn counties in Indiana, you’re also under a tornado warning. Reports confirm radar-indicated rotation near Greensburg, moving at a fast 60 mph. Expect damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Trees and power lines could also come down, so please avoid unnecessary travel.
A tornado watch remains in effect until 1 a.m. for much of the region, covering parts of Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. This means conditions are ripe for tornado development. Even if you're not currently under a warning, don't let your guard down. Stay tuned to weather updates, have your emergency plans ready, and make sure your phone alerts are on.
These storms are moving fast and can intensify at any moment. If you're in an area under a tornado warning, take cover now. Stay safe, everyone, and let’s get through this together.
