Major Roads in Hull Closed as Man Climbs onto Roof

As a safety measure, authorities have shut down key routes, including Ferensway, which is now closed in both directions between Paragon Interchange and Osborne Street. Parts of Anlaby Road are also off-limits between Midland Street and Carr Lane. With these closures in place, traffic across the city has been severely affected.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service has urged people to avoid the area, while commuters have reported long delays. According to real-time traffic data, congestion levels in Hull have skyrocketed to 135%—a whopping 69% above the usual morning traffic at this time. Buses operating in and out of the city have also been affected. Stagecoach East Midlands has confirmed that services from Spring Bank, Anlaby Road, and Beverley Road are unable to stop at Carr Lane due to the ongoing disruption.
