Thailand's Opal Suchata Crowned Miss World 2025 in a Night to Remember

Let’s talk about one of the most inspiring and breathtaking moments of the year—Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand has just been crowned Miss World 2025! It was a glittering, emotional, and absolutely unforgettable night in Hyderabad, India, where the 72nd edition of the prestigious pageant came to a spectacular close.

Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic, last year’s titleholder, gracefully passed on the crown to Opal, marking a new chapter in the Miss World legacy. The ceremony was not just a showcase of beauty and elegance, but also one that celebrated strength, resilience, and empowerment.

Opal stunned the audience in a symbolic gown—an elegant piece in shimmering white adorned with opal-like floral accents. According to her own words, the gown was more than fashion. It was a tribute to her initiative, “Opal For HER,” a project dedicated to empowering women through healing, hope, and transformation. She described the Swarovski crystal-embellished fabric as a reflection of the inner light that guides individuals through darkness. Her message? “Just like the opal, I shine in my own light.” Powerful and poetic.

As she glided across the stage with poise and purpose, Opal reminded the world that beauty isn't just skin-deep. It’s about compassion, courage, and the courage to dream—especially in the face of adversity. Her victory has ignited joy across Thailand and beyond, as people celebrate a woman who represents more than just glamour—she embodies inspiration.

However, the night wasn’t joyous for everyone. India’s representative, Nandini Gupta, who had earlier made it into the Top 40 and even fast-tracked into the Top 18, didn’t manage to break into the final Top 8. It was a tough competition, and though she carried herself with grace and promise, it simply wasn’t her year.

India once again had the honour of hosting the Miss World pageant, with this year’s grand finale held in Hyderabad. It was just last year in Mumbai that Krystyna Pyszkova won her crown. And now, as she hands it over, Opal Suchata steps into her new role—not just as Miss World 2025, but as a beacon of hope and a symbol of what it means to shine from within.

What a night. What a queen. Congratulations, Opal!
