A Record-Breaking $25M Raised for Sick Children at Téléthon Enfant Soleil 2025
Today, I want to share something that deeply moved me—a story not just about generosity, but about hope, unity, and the unbreakable spirit of a community. This weekend, the 38th edition of the Téléthon Enfant Soleil took place, and it made history. Over $25 million was raised to support children living with illness across Quebec, surpassing last year’s record by nearly $750,000. When you think about it, that number isn't just a figure—it's a lifeline. It’s time, treatment, care, and a chance at a better life for kids who face unimaginable challenges daily.
Maxime Landry, who’s been involved with the Téléthon for 15 years, expressed just how emotional and overwhelming this accomplishment was. "Every year I think, we’ve reached the limit. We can’t possibly go higher. And every year, Quebec proves me wrong." That kind of dedication—from volunteers, donors, and the entire organizing team—is what makes miracles happen. And that’s not an exaggeration. This event, broadcast live all day Saturday on TVA, wasn’t just a fundraising campaign—it was a celebration of resilience, love, and community.

More than 60 artists performed throughout the event. Familiar faces like Annie Brocoli, Alain Dumas, and Brigitte Boisjoli brought their energy and heart to the stage. But the real stars of the day were the children and families whose lives are touched by the donations. Take little Milo Morin, for example—a four-year-old boy with a rare neuromuscular condition. Thanks to the Téléthon, Milo now benefits from a unique program called CONCI, where each child is assigned a sort of “medical travel agent” to help coordinate multiple complex appointments. Imagine the relief that brings to parents already stretched thin emotionally and physically. That kind of support is priceless.
And what’s truly incredible is how far the impact reaches. With over 100 pediatric health projects funded each year , the dollars raised go to hospitals, specialized centers, and regional networks—ensuring care is close to home, adapted, and human. From advanced equipment to emotional and logistical support, the Téléthon changes lives. Literally.
What stood out this year, too, is that it was held on a Saturday for the first time. As Maxime Landry noted, it gave everyone a little more time—to give, to reflect, to act. And the generosity didn’t stop when the cameras turned off. Donations are still coming in online, a reminder that it's never too late to make a difference.
Since 1988, Enfant Soleil has raised over $337 million. That’s an extraordinary legacy of kindness and commitment. But behind every dollar is someone who cared—who said yes to hope.
Let’s carry that spirit forward. Let’s keep showing up. Because together, as this weekend proved, we can truly create miracles.
