Ali Asghar Hejazi and Key Officials Seek Russian Exit Plan Amid Rising Tensions
In a shocking turn of events that could reshape Iran's political landscape, reports have emerged that Ali Asghar Hejazi, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, has entered into negotiations with Russian officials about a possible exit plan for himself and other high-ranking Iranian officials. According to intelligence obtained by Iran International, Hejazi and several others are preparing contingencies to flee the country with their families should the situation in Iran deteriorate any further.
The report suggests that a senior Russian official has directly contacted Hejazi, reassuring him that in the event of escalating chaos, Russia would provide a secure corridor for evacuation. This isn’t just limited to Hejazi—other top Islamic Republic figures have reportedly received similar guarantees and are actively finalizing their own escape routes.

This comes at a time of heightened military and political tension. Israel recently carried out a massive and unexpected military strike targeting Iran's high-ranking military commanders. For the first time, Israel didn’t stop at military installations—it struck key oil and gas facilities as well. State media in Iran confirmed fires at both a major gas field in the south and an oil depot in Tehran.
The Iranian government also reported that an attack on a residential complex in Tehran left around 60 civilians dead, including 29 children. Reports of further attacks across the country continue to emerge, while Israel confirmed that by Saturday evening alone, over 150 strategic targets in Iran had been hit.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a strong statement via a video message in English, claiming that Iran's leadership is aware that “something big is coming.” He stated that had Israel not taken action, Iran was preparing to transfer nuclear weapons to its terror proxies—posing a grave threat to the entire world. He credited this preemptive operation to clear support from former U.S. President Donald Trump.
The idea that senior Iranian officials, including someone as prominent as Ali Asghar Hejazi, are considering fleeing the country underscores the fragile state of the regime. If true, this suggests an internal unraveling—one that even those at the very top are no longer confident they can control. The whispers of power abandoning ship are growing louder, and the global community is watching closely to see what comes next.
