Chloe Chambers Battles Chaos in Montreal F1 Academy Thriller

What a weekend it’s been at the F1 Academy race in Montreal, and Chloe Chambers was right at the center of the drama. Let me walk you through this wild ride because it honestly had everything—pole position, intense duels, heartbreak, and a late comeback that showed real grit.

Chambers started the weekend strong, having already topped qualifying in Miami before that race got canceled. She converted that form into pole position here in Montreal, lining up ahead of her Campos Racing teammate Alisha Palmowski. Off the line, things looked pretty smooth. Chambers defended well into the final chicane on the opening lap when Palmowski made a move down the Casino Straight. But then, chaos struck early.

On just the second lap, Palmowski went for another bold move into Turn 1, but ended up oversteering and collided with Chambers. It broke Chambers’ front wing and spun Palmowski around, though both continued. At that point, it looked like Chambers might still salvage a decent result—she briefly regained the lead and even defended hard against Doriane Pin, who eventually slipped through at the chicane on lap three.

What followed was classic racing drama. Chambers fought back hard, reclaiming the lead into the next chicane, but it all started to unravel when her damaged front wing got lodged under her car. That forced her to pit under a black-and-orange flag—effectively killing off her chances of winning.

But Chloe didn’t give up. On fresh tires, she started slicing through the field again, even setting the fastest lap of the race—a small but meaningful consolation for what could’ve been a victory. Then came another twist: a safety car caused by multiple incidents, including one where a driver ended up with their car on fire and another rejoining dangerously. Absolute chaos.

Yet, somehow, in the closing laps, Chambers managed to claw her way back to P9. It might not sound like much, but after being forced to pit and tumbling down the order, that kind of recovery shows just how much pace—and spirit—she had.

This result means Chambers sits third in the championship standings with 58 points, behind Doriane Pin who took the win and now leads with 88 points. Despite everything that happened, this race was a showcase of Chambers’ skill, resilience, and sheer determination.

It’s safe to say she’ll be coming back swinging next time.
