Qatar Airways is officially phasing out its iconic Airbus A380 aircraft from the Perth–Doha route. Now, that’s huge. Although the flight is marketed under Virgin’s brand, everything from the aircraft to the crew is operated by Qatar Airways. That means Qsuites on both daily flights — Virgin Australia’s VA21 and Qatar’s QR901 — giving passengers two premium options per day, whether they’re heading out or coming home.
Sydney, for now, will continue to enjoy the A380, keeping its daily service with the superjumbo, but Perth is clearly adapting to a more modern, flexible model.
