Bluey Gnomes Are Back at Bunnings—and Fans Are Losing It Again
Alright, so if you remember the massive craze over the Bluey garden gnomes last year, get ready—because they're officially back at Bunnings starting this Wednesday, July 30. And yes, the hype is real again .

Last year’s collaboration between Bunnings and the hit Aussie kids’ show Bluey was such a huge success that these cute little gnome figures—based on characters from the show—completely sold out. People were scrambling to find them, and it got so wild that full sets were being listed on eBay for as much as $1,000. Yep, something that originally sold for $19 was suddenly a collector’s item going for insane prices online. One listing even tried to push a bundle for $2,500!
Well, now they’re back—Hecuba, Tony, Jeremy, and the chilled-out Meditation Gnome are all returning, and they’re not alone. This time, they’re joined by a few new friends: Gerald, plus a cute bride and groom gnome set. Prices start at $19 again, so if you missed out last time, now’s your chance to snag them without the eBay markup.
Justine Mills, Bunnings’ general manager of marketing, explained that the return was pretty much inevitable, given how fast the first batch flew off shelves. Fans clearly felt a connection to these characters, and now that there’s more to collect, excitement is building all over again.
But it’s not just about the gnomes this time. Bunnings is going full Hammerbarn—yep, just like in that iconic Bluey episode where the family visits a hardware store that’s basically Bunnings in cartoon form. So alongside the gnomes, you’ll find Bluey-themed homewares, like those famous watermelon and kiwi rugs for $39, glow-in-the-dark wall stickers for $15, and even paper lanterns to help recreate Bluey and Bingo’s bedroom at home.
There’s also a range of exclusive Hammerbarn merch—bucket hats, socks, keyrings, and totes—all between $3.50 and $7. Perfect for the little fans, or honestly, the grown-up ones too.
And if you're looking for more than just stuff to buy, Bunnings will also be hosting in-store DIY activities and even family scavenger hunts to bring the Bluey experience to life. But heads up: everything is available only while stocks last, and if last year is anything to go by, they won’t last long. So get in quick if you want to avoid the resale madness!
