Man Shouting Bomb Threat Mid-Flight Sparks Terror Probe on EasyJet
A shocking mid-air disturbance on a flight from Luton to Glasgow has sparked a terror-related investigation, after a man was arrested following a series of alarming outbursts onboard. Passengers on the EasyJet flight were left stunned and frightened when a man began shouting things like “I’m going to bomb the plane,” along with phrases such as “Death to America, death to Trump,” and “Allahu Akbar,” which translates from Arabic as “God is great.”
The incident happened just before the plane was due to land at Glasgow Airport. Video footage from inside the aircraft quickly made its way online, showing the man shouting and behaving erratically. Things escalated quickly, but thanks to the swift actions of two fellow passengers, the man was wrestled to the floor and restrained before things got worse.

Once the plane touched down at around 8:20 AM, Police Scotland officers were ready. They boarded the aircraft immediately and arrested the 41-year-old man. According to the authorities, he remains in custody, and investigations are still ongoing. Counter-terrorism officers are now actively reviewing the footage that has been widely circulated on social media.
Despite the dramatic nature of the events, EasyJet confirmed that the safety of the flight and its passengers was never compromised. The airline emphasized that the crew followed standard safety protocols, and the situation was quickly brought under control.
Police Scotland also stated that they believe the incident was isolated — meaning it’s not thought to involve any other individuals or wider threat. That’s provided some reassurance to passengers and the public alike.
Interestingly, the incident comes at a time when former U.S. President Donald Trump happens to be in Scotland for diplomatic meetings, which has led to further scrutiny of the suspect’s motives, especially given the content of his shouted remarks. However, no official link has been made between the man's comments and the former president’s visit.
As investigations continue, the focus now is on understanding what led to this mid-flight outburst and whether there’s any deeper cause for concern. In the meantime, passengers on that flight are being praised for their calm and quick response in what could’ve been a much more dangerous situation.
