Sid Wilson Proposes to Kelly Osbourne Backstage at Ozzy’s Final Show
You guys, you won't believe what just happened at one of the most emotional and iconic concerts in rock history. Ozzy Osbourne’s final performance had all the drama, nostalgia, and high energy you'd expect—but the biggest shock of the night didn’t even happen on stage. It happened backstage, where Sid Wilson, longtime Slipknot DJ and Kelly Osbourne’s partner, proposed in front of her whole family. Yes, Sid popped the question right behind the curtain of her dad’s last ever show!

It all went down in a way that was perfectly Osbourne—loud, funny, emotional, and totally unforgettable. Kelly posted a video of the moment to Instagram with the casual, “Oh and this happened yesterday!” But make no mistake, it was major . The video kicks off with Sid getting serious, saying, “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world,” and right as he’s trying to set the mood—Ozzy, ever the rock god and dad—yells out, “F--- off, you’re not marrying my daughter!” Total dad moment, right? But all in good fun.
Sid didn’t miss a beat. He kept going, heartfelt and sincere: “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?” And Kelly? Completely surprised, she nodded, hugged him tightly, and the family—Sharon, Jack, and even Ozzy—burst into cheers. It was a moment packed with decades of love, family, and rock 'n roll legacy.
Now, if you didn’t know, Kelly and Sid go way back. Like, all the way back to 1999 when Slipknot was touring with Ozzfest, the music festival created by her parents. They were just friends back then, but that bond grew into something so much more. In 2022, they started dating officially and later that same year, they welcomed their son, Sidney. Kelly once said, “After 23 years of friendship I can’t believe where we have ended up! You are my best friend, my soulmate, and I am so deeply in love with you.”
And honestly, hearing her talk about motherhood melts your heart. On “The Osbournes” podcast, she called their son “the best thing that ever happened to me.” She said being a mom is everything to her—and you can just feel that warmth radiate from her.
So yeah, a legendary final concert, a family full of icons, and now a new beginning for Kelly and Sid. What a full-circle moment. Rock royalty, romance, and real emotion—all wrapped into one incredible night.
